Ms. Lisa McDougal: Special Education K-4

Hello!  I am super excited to start my 30th year in education, my third at Minor Hill. After retiring from Lauderdale County Schools (Alabama) in July of 2023, I realized how much I missed being in the classroom and the students. 
 

I have been blessed with two wonderful children. Emma Grace who is married to Canaan Coan, has my fur grandbabies Joey and Finn.  My son, Lucas, is married to Ashley, and together they have my four adorable granddaughters: Ava and Addison (twins), Willow Mae, and Blair.

In my free time, I love capturing the beauty of places I stumble upon. That's actually how I discovered Minor Hill School. :) I love to read and love to help the students fall in love with reading as well. My favorite children's book is Wonder by R. J. Palacio. This book helps everyone understand that we are all different and all look and learn in different ways.
